After a long year of rainy weather, flooding, and damage to some utilities in Durban and Johannesburg, beaches are finally ready to be used once again. The closure of some beaches was a result of sewerage flowing into the ocean earlier this year.
In order to decrease the chances of contracting E.coli, beaches in Durban have been closed to protect Durbanites. Johannesburg on the other hand has had to create other means of traveling due to the damage to roads. However, the roads have been fixed since then.
As 2022 comes to a close, families and friends will be able to enjoy a sunkissed festive season. As rain isn’t expected to pour continually over the holiday period.
Remember, carry a sunhat, glasses, and sunblock when visiting pools and beaches. Protect your skin at all costs. If you’re in a region that expects rain, carry an umbrella and be alert to warning about traveling on dangerous roads during thunderstorms. Sending love and light for the new year ahead!
