The public can expect disruptive waves along the coastlines on either side of Cape Agulhas. Predicted to cover the areas between Hout Bay and Plettenberg Bay. The rough seas are scheduled to start around midday on Wednesday, 6 April and return to normal close to midnight of Thursday the 7th of April.
Following the weather prediction, the South African Weather Services (SAWS) have issued a level one warning. Noting that small vessels and personal water crafts are likely to have difficulty navigating at sea, while also being at increased risk of taking on water and possibly capsizing. Additionally, SAWS predicts localized disruption of small harbours. The warning advises the public to be wary of expected infrequent strong to near gale and gusty winds. As well as to be cautious of large disruptive waves along the Cape Agulhas coastline.
