KZN police on high alert as foreign-owned shops are at risk
After several voice notes and messages were sent threatening violence against foreign-owned shops, KwaZulu-Natal police are on “high alert”.
The messages include plans to target and shut down businesses that belong to foreign nationals in Durban. And business owners have been warned not to operate on Sunday, 27 March.
And according to a police spokesperson, “police officers and other law enforcement agencies were prepared to react to any event which may contribute to the breakdown of law and order”.
Vladimir Putin’s ally warns US of “nuclear dystopia”
Dmitry Medvedev, Russian president from 2008 – 2012, is now deputy secretary of Russia’s Security Council and claimed that, since 1991, the US had wanted to destroy Russia.
He further warned that the world could even spiral towards a nuclear dystopia if Washington continued with their “long-term plot to destroy Russia”.
“The destruction of the world’s biggest country by area could lead to an unstable leadership in Moscow with a maximum number of nuclear weapons aimed at targets in the US and Europe,” Medvedev said.
