Three bodies of unidentified men have been discovered in an open veld near the intersection of N6 and R702 roads in Mangaung. A community member who was collecting firewood in the veld discovered the bodies of three men on Saturday morning and informed the Kagisanong police.
Lieutenant-Colonel Thabo Covani said a patrol vehicle was dispatched to the scene and on arrival the police officers found three bodies of unknown men lying in a pool of blood, with two of the men’s hands tied behind their backs.
“Forensic science experts also arrived at the scene and upon closer examination it was established that the victims were shot several times in the head, neck and upper body. Empty cartridges and motor vehicle tracks indicate that the victims might have been transported to the scene where they were killed. Cases of murder were opened at Kagisanong police station.”
A manhunt was launched for the suspects who brutally murdered the three men and left them lying in a pool of blood. The police are appealing to the members of the public who have information that can help lead to the arrest of the suspects who brutally murdered the three men to come forward with the information and call Sergeant Mokete Godfrey Motsoai at 082 466 7255. Alternatively, people with information can also call the Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or submit the information on the MySAPS App.
