At approximately 14:00 on Monday afternoon, the mother left King Edward Hospital carrying her baby. While she was waiting for a bus, another woman approached and befriended her.

Once at the shop, the woman gave the mother some cash to purchase items for the baby boy. The woman volunteered to hold and watch the baby as the mother went into the shop to pay – the other woman was waiting outside the shop with the baby.
After a few minutes, the mother of the child returned and found that the woman had disappereadrd with the infant baby. She reported it to the police and a case of kidnapping is being investigated.
