Lebogang Mthembu, 22, from Orange Farm went missing a week ago on a Saturday and was last seen going to the local tuckshop shop with a friend. She was found dead the following day in Evaton North, Vereeniging.
Before she disappeared, it is alleged that Mthembu was confronted by a group of four girls, including the mother of one of the four girls, where a physical attack ensued over a Facebook feud.
Colonel Dimakatso Sello, the Gauteng police spokesperson said police were called to the murder scene after a person noticed a body of a woman lying in an open field.

Her close friends who asked to remain anonymous said after fighting with Lobogang, the girls insulted her and told her she was going to die and they said this in front of Lebogang’s mother. According to the friends, Mthembu was not someone who entertained fight and she would not retaliate even if you attacked her.
