Mandatory vaccination to be implemented in South Africa
During President Ramaphosa’s speech, he confirmed that mandatory vaccinations are one of a few resorts left to South Africa.
While scientists are working tirelessly to understand the scale of the threat posed by the new COVID-19 super variant, the president confirmed action must be taken now to avoid a catastrophic fourth wave.
A number of preventative measures are within the government’s control, he said, one of which is mandatory vaccination.

Oscar Pistorius to speak with Reeva’s parents after being moved to Gqeberha prison
Last week Friday, Oscar Pistorius was moved to the St Albans Correctional Centre in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) from Pretoria. This is part of his possible probation process, as now he has to meet with Reeva Steenkamp’s parents if he wants to win his parole case.

South Africans shocked with another petrol price hike
Motorists all over South Africans will have to brace themselves for the holiday season as petrol prices get another increase.
Petrol will go up by 81c/litre while diesel will go up between 72c and 74c. And paraffin will also go up by 42c a litre.
According to the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, the price hike is greatly due to a sharp fall in the rand against the dollar.
