FW de Klerk will have a private funeral with no media allowed
The former South African president‘s foundation has announced that a private funeral will be held for de Klerk. The funeral will be held next Sunday, 21 November, and will be a private ceremony for family members.
And since many opinions have been making rounds since de Klerk’s death last week, the brief statement read, “it will not be open to the media”.
Support is withdrawn from Miss SA pageant due to Miss Universe being held in Israel
Government wants Miss SA to boycott Israel due to accusations regarding Israel committing “atrocities” to Palestinians.
However, after the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture could not convince the organisers of Miss SA to not let Lalela Mswane participate in Miss Universe, they have decided to withdraw their support.

Government to sell some of Eskom’s coal-fired power plants
According to Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana, in order to reduce Eskom’s debt burden, some of the state power utility’s coal-fired power plants are to be sold. This decision came after key South African government ministers came to a bread agreement.
When this was first suggested two years ago, it suggested that the facilities could bring in around R450 billion.
