Elon Musk has gained increasing criticism after he has taken over Twitter and it all stems from his idea of free speech.
Hate speech increases Elon Musk takes over
Previously, Elon Musk had been banned from Twitter for a while after the businessman had shared some offensive messages on the platform.
However, in a bid to promote free speech, Elon Musk sought to buy Twitter and make a whole host of changes to the platform one of them being free speech.
Recently though, the Washington Post shares that the use of the n-word has significantly increased. Since Elon Musk took over the platform. This current issue is one of the many criticisms the CEO has come under scrutiny for lately.
New statistics sparks outrage
In response to these statistics, many have called out Elon Musk for promoting hate speech instead of free speech. Right now, many users of the platform are testing the limits to their rights to freedom of speech. However, it is shedding a light on the racism at hand.

Yesterday, Elon Musk took to Twitter to share that he is not the reason for spreading fake news on the platform. After an article surfaced that the Tesla founder shared a link to a site. That is known for spreading fake news.
He wrote, “This is fake! I did not tweet a link out to the New York Times.”

Presently, it is understood that the increase in the n-word is as high as 500%. This ordeal on Twitter comes after months of back and forth between the businessman and the platform as he reportedly sought to back out of the deal.
However, the CEO finally closed in on the 44 billion dollar deal last week.
