Will and Grace actor dies in a car crash
Presently, BBC reports that Leslie Jordan tragically lost his life in a car accident this past Monday. It is reported that his car crashed into the side of a building in Los Angeles this past Monday morning.
To date, his publicist shared a few words on the loss of an icon and noted that the world is a darker place without him.
“Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”

At the time of his passing, officers shared that it was unclear if Leslie Jordan died of a head-on collision or if he had suffered a medical injury beforehand. When help arrived, the actor was pronounced dead on the scene.

Thus far, Leslie Jordan was born in 1955 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. At the age of 12, he came out as gay to his mother. The actor shared that he expected his mother to take out a bible but she instead supported him. However, he noted that her advice was to live quietly.
In a very reserved America at the time, Leslie Jordan shared that he didn’t quite listen to his mother’s advice on living quietly.
“I didn’t follow her advice on that one.”
During the coronavirus pandemic, Leslie Jordan amassed over 5 million followers on Instagram after posting updates about his life under quarantine. The actor also posted dance routines on his handle which led to him going viral on the internet.
“A friend of mine called from California and said, ‘You have gone viral.’ And I said, ‘No, honey, I’m fine. I don’t have Covid,'”
In the past, Leslie Jordan has also been very candid about his struggles with alcohol addiction. The actor reportedly has his first drink at the age of 14 years old. However, in the 1980s Jordan was relatively sober and joked about a time he landed in jail with Robert Downey jr. The latter also struggled with addiction in the past.
“I’m partially responsible for his success,” he joked.
