Laudium officials pull off rescue mission
According to Laudium Today, authorities were alerted of the fire by community patrollers who heard the cries of the victims stuck inside the building.
Fortunately, due to their prompt response, nobody was injured in the fire.
Residents have been advised to avoid the area at this time, as it has been cordoned off by the fire department until the assessment of the building’s safety has been concluded.
Moreover, law enforcement was at the scene at the time this article was published, to determine the cause of the fire that threatened the lives of Mochachos staffers on Thursday.
This is not the first time a fire has broken out in Laudium recently. In September, a Shell garage caught fire, leaving two staffers injured.
As reported by Rekord, two Shell employees were left with burn injuries on their backs, faces and hands after a deep-fryer caught flames.
The staffers were treated for their injuries and the cause of the fire was ruled out as a freak accident.
