KFC says it will give you free food, or your money back, “no questions asked”, if you don’t like the food, they sell you. In certain cases, you might have to bring uneaten chicken as proof.
According to a KFC statement, the company is extremely confident that people love their food so much, they are even willing to help out anyone who would disagree. The “Taste Guarantee” applies to both food and drinks all the KFC stores around the country.
“We are so confident that our products will meet the expected standard and are of good quality, that we are willing to replace or refund your purchase, no questions asked, if you are not entirely satisfied with it,” the statement reads.
How it works is that unhappy customers will be given their money back with no questions asked, with no need for a till slip. The customer would however be expected to return the packaging with uneaten food inside.
The other option would be to ask for the same meal or a different one which is valued at the same price. If the customer wants a different meal that costs more, the customer will have to pay the difference than the one previously brought.
“As you will no longer be on the premises when discovering your dissatisfaction, and should you not wish to go back to the store to return the product for a replacement or refund, then in such a case you may report your complaint either telephonically or by email through the customer care centre on 08600 10022 or kfccustomercare@dsg.co.za” says KFC.
The guarantee is limited to one replacement per transaction, and does not apply to a replacement meal, which means you cannot reject two meals in a row.
