Award-winning artist Kelly Khumalo is working on a new song, which she says will be a hit in December. She recently took to social media to share a preview of the new music she is working on. Kelly announced this through an Instagram live video earlier this week.
Khumalo is currently trending on social media due to the murder trial of her boyfriend and Orland Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Robert Meyiwa, who was killed in Kelly Khumalo’s house in Vosloorus in 2014.
While social media users have a mouthful to say about her following the bombshell which was dropped in court on Monday, the “Life with Kelly Khumalo” reality tv star said she is focusing on her music.
“The Voice of Africa” went live in the studio in what seemed to be a testing session with producers and musicians she worked with in the new song. Rapper Zakwe who is featured in the track titled “Bazokhuluma” is seen in the video with Kelly during the live stream. Vocalist Mthunzi and Khumalo’s producer Mondli Ngcobo are also in the live video.
Translated from isiZulu, some of Khumalo’s vocals include, “they talk about me because they know I’ve been called.” In another part if the song she says, “Even if you keep quiet, people will talk.”
Speaking about the song, the Ngathwala Ngaye hitmaker said she loves the song, and it will be released very soon. “Just give us an opportunity to master it, so it sounds proper, and we will release it. Just give me four weeks,” she says in the video.
Khumalo’s song comes as the murder trial of Senzo Meyiwa, her former boyfriend and father of her second child, continues in the North Gauteng High Court.
