Influencer Megha Thakur dies suddenly
The circumstances around her death have not been revealed which means her fans do not know the actual cause of her death. However, the Daily Mail reports that the social star died on the 24th of November this year.
In a statement to the public on November 28th, her parents shared that the social star died a few days before but did not reveal the cause of her death.
“It is with heavy hearts we announce the light of our life, our kind, caring, and beautiful daughter, Megha Thakur, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on November 24, 2022 in the early morning hours,”
The statement continued, “Megha was a confident and independent young woman. She will be dearly missed. She loved her fans and would have wanted you to know of her passing. At this time, we request your blessings for Megha. Your thoughts and prayers will be with her in her onward journey – Megha’s loving parents”
Social star opens up about suicidal thoughts
Earlier this year Megha Thakur revealed that she had suffered a heart attack as a result of her anxiety which in turn caused her stress levels to increase. The health scare occurred sometime in July. The social media star opened up about her health struggles to her 900 000 followers on social media.
‘I have really bad anxiety, which turned into stress, which turned into a heart attack. So, I’ve been dealing with that,’
Megha Thakur is known for sharing content on travel, fashion, and most importantly mental health. The social media star frequently shared her thoughts on mental health and often got candid with her followers about her mental health struggles.
While opening up about her health struggles, Megha Thakur also shared with her followers that she previously dealt with having suicidal thoughts.
‘I was depressed for years. It was awful, I didn’t want to be alive anymore, and nearly lost my life,’
Megha Thakur concluded her 2020 post by sharing that her followers should seek help when they need it. She added that ‘You are important.’
‘It may be world mental health day, but today will not be the only day I speak on this. Remember to take care of yourself too. You are important.’
