With Black Friday known as the annual event where shoppers get to buy their most needed goods at a discount, Game has decided to introduce its own annual event where shoppers will be able to buy goods at a reasonable discount.
On Friday, 1 July, Game will be running a one-day-only sale which will become an annual event called “Halfway Day”.
The idea is to offer the best prices shoppers need on “whatever they need to make it through the second half of the year”, the chain said in a statement.
Game is selling goods which consumers deem as a necessity at a reasonable price and the once-a-year event is expected to meet customers expectations and help ease their pain on the consumer inflation. The prices of alcohol will remain the same and customers are notified that alcohol is excluded in this new annual special.
Here are some of the discounts to lookout for this coming Friday:
Pampers Active pants, as a mega box, for 5%below the best other special we can find
At a good deal you would expect to pay about R500 to R429 for the “megabox” of Pampers Active Disposable nappy pants. At Game you can get them for R399 instead, which will save you a couple of bucks to purchase other goods.
A 5-pack Maggi Noodles for R18- 40%under the standard price
While at Shoprite you will be paying R30 for Maggi Noodles’ 5 packs, at Game you will be getting the same amount for just under R20.
Various (but not all) Nescafe coffees, 200g, at R70- better than 30% off
While you would normally pay R100 for a Nescafe 200g jar, on a special you could get it for at least R73. At Game will get it for R70 which is better than 30% off.
These are just few items which will be on sale on Friday.
