Elon Musk officially takes over Twitter
Previously, Elon Musk expressed his interest in buying Twitter after the CEO got into trouble for some of his social media posts. One of the reasons he endeavored to buy the platform comes from his belief in having free speech.
However, after some time, Elon Musk reportedly wanted to back out of the deal. In order to have the entrepreneur follow through with the deal, Twitter took to filing a lawsuit. The Tesla founder was set to go to trial this month.
Now, it seems that Elon Musk has finally made up his mind about going through with the purchase. The business owner recently confirmed that he bought Twitter with a social media post on why he decided to buy Twitter.
‘Dear Twitter Advertisers, I wanted to reach out personally to share my motivation in acquiring Twitter. There has been much speculation about why I bought Twitter and what I think about advertising. Most of it is wrong.’

Musk’s ideas for the platform
He went on to talk about having a safe space to share thoughts on social media in a healthy way without resorting to violence.
“It is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence.”
Presently, Elon Musk is expected to talk to the Twitter staff tomorrow. The details around his takeover have been significantly worrisome as the businessman previously shared his ideas about cutting some staff to make Twitter more profitable.
Thus far, Musk’s ideas for Twitter takes the form of turning into a freedom of speech app, turning it into an everything app, and getting rid of fake accounts or spam bots.
