An alleged argument over a fast-food order in a McDonald’s drive-thru left one man stabbed to death in his car and another on the run. The incident happened on Friday morning around 04:20 at Highveld Mall in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga.
Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the Mpumalanga police spokesperson said according to initial information the incident occurred at around 04:20am when the two men were inside the McDonald’s in Highveld mall when the dispute broke out between the two men over the food order. It is alleged that the dispute was over an order.
Mohlala said the suspect got out of his vehicle a red VW Gold, walked over to the victim’s car and allegedly stabbed him once in the chest. “The suspect ran away from the scene leaving his vehicle, a red golf, on the scene. Paramedics arrived on the scene, but the 28-year-old victim was declared dead,” said Mohlala.
According to Mohlala, the abandoned car was registered to a 42-year-old man from Limpopo. The incident comes few days after a video footage made circulation of 50-year-old Corrie Pretorius who viciously assaulted 16-year-old boy while pointing a gun at him, following an argument at a food outlet in Limpopo.
