A man was brutally murdered and his body loaded in a wheelbarrow at KaMaqhekeza near Tonga, yesterday, 17 May 2022.

According to reports, police received a call from community members about a body of a man which was seen in a wheelbarrow next to the road around 07:30 as per Brigadier Selby Mohlala.

Medical personnel was also notified about the incident. Upon arrival, they found a lifeless body of a man, believed to be in his early thirties, with visible bruises all over his body. He was certified dead by the paramedics at the scene.
It is suspected that he could have been attacked. The police in Tonga are probing the reasons for the attack.
“A case of murder has been opened but no arrest has been made so far. Police investigation continues,” said Mohlala.
