The exclusive unveiling of this PEUGEOT 9X8 livery will take place at the Milan Design Week on April 17th.
ALLURE: A second collaboration based on design and creation which perfectly embodies PEUGEOT’s optimistic vision: “The world is better with Allure”.
EXCELLENCE: The PEUGEOT 9X8, decorated by J. Demsky, will be present at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2023.
EMOTION: PEUGEOT calls on one of the most creative artists of the moment to perpetuate the great tradition of Art Cars with a spectacular 9X8 livery.
After announcing a first artistic collaboration with Emeric Tchatchoua, founder of the 3.PARADIS brand, during the European presentation of INCEPTION CONCEPT, PEUGEOT continues its strategy of collaborating with talented artists.
J. Demsky, a multi-talented visual artist of Spanish origin, evolves in a modern artistic world while drawing his inspiration from the 90s: his art speaks to a whole generation and his graphic signature is unique.
By imagining the new livery of the 9X8, J. Demsky does more than simply decorate a car: he conveys a powerful message, in the great tradition of the Art Cars which have made automotive history, by applying it to a sports car that expresses the very best of PEUGEOT in terms of style, efficiency and technology. An eclectic artist, J. Demsky also imagined new graphics for the racing suits and the helmet of the PEUGEOT team drivers for 2023.
The reveal of this new livery will be held in Milan on April 17th, 2023, in the presence of Matthias Hossann, PEUGEOT Design Director, Phil York, PEUGEOT Marketing and Communication Director and Gustavo Menezes, PEUGEOT TotalEnergies Team Driver. The 9X8 will be on public display until April 23rd.
The PEUGEOT TotalEnergies Team has two 9X8s taking part in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) since July 2022. In 2023, for its first full season, PEUGEOT is obviously aiming for the podium, in particular at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race that is celebrating 100 years this year. The PEUGEOT 9X8 would thus follow in the footsteps of its illustrious ancestors, the 905 (victorious at Le Mans in 1992 and 1993) and the 908 (2009). This 4-wheel drive Hypercar brings PEUGEOT’s hybrid know-how to the highest level of the world motorsport stage.
Matthias Hossann, PEUGEOT Design Director said: “The PEUGEOT 905 is an icon of the 90s whose energy and creativity we wanted to celebrate. J. Demsky shares this passion and this inspiration. The graphic strength of his art, referenced but ultra-modern, transports PEUGEOT 9X8 into a universe that mixes street art and technology. It’s a veritable artistic performance to celebrate both automotive design and the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
J. Demsky, multi-talented visual artist said: “I was fascinated by the collaboration from the very beginning as I love speed, vehicle design, precision, bravery, and nostalgia. This partnership celebrates experimentation and pushed me to explore endless possibilities for a new future to come in the world of racing for such a legacy brand like Peugeot Sport.
