TGRSA’s trio of drivers, Saood Variawa, Nathi Msimanga, and Michael van Rooyen, are set to tackle the Killarney International Raceway for a second time this season. Saood Variawa, leading the championship with 139 points, has been a standout performer, showcasing remarkable skill and determination throughout the season. With Toyota privateer Robert Wolk closely trailing Variawa on 126 points, the championship battle is as intense as ever.
Nathi Msimanga, currently in third place with 82 points, and Michael van Rooyen, fourth with 80 points, are eager to climb the championship ladder and secure crucial points in this pivotal round. Historically, the Killarney Circuit has presented challenges for TGRSA, but the team remains optimistic and hungry for success this weekend. The technical and demanding nature of the circuit will test the drivers’ skills and strategic prowess, promising exhilarating racing action for fans and motorsport enthusiasts.
With practice sessions scheduled for Friday, the drivers will have the opportunity to fine-tune their setups and familiarise themselves with the circuit’s intricacies. Saturday’s Qualifying session will set the stage for two intense races, where every move will count in the pursuit of victory.
“We are gearing up for an intense weekend of racing at Killarney International Raceway,” says Riaan Esterhuysen, on behalf of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing SA. “Saood Variawa’s exceptional performance has secured his position at the top of the championship, but the competition is fierce. Robert Wolk, Nathi Msimanga, and Michael van Rooyen are all determined to make their mark and challenge for supremacy. While Killarney has posed challenges for us in the past, we remain focused on delivering strong results and building on our successes.”
