The price of petrol in November will hurt motorist the most, as the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy confirmed an enormous hike from last month’s figures.
What is November petrol price?
A combination of a weakening rand, as well as price surges in crude oil means that motorists will have to think twice about fuel budgets this month.
In a statement, the department confirmed that petrol (93 and 95) will see an increase of R1.21 a litre, while diesel prices (0.05% and 0.005%) will rise by R1.48 per litre.
The all-round increase will also see hike up by a whopping R1.45 a litre, the department revealed.
“The key driver is the higher global demand recovery, amid a weaker supply response from non-OPEC and other oil producers. The situation was exacerbated by the impact of the current gas challenges experienced by European countries,” the statement read.
