Lexus is synonymous for superior craftsmanship and has been at the forefront in design, carving an indelible mark on the arts scene in South Africa. As a brand, Lexus has invested and collaborated with various projects in the craftsmanship space. Not only are Lexus vehicles crafted with masterful skill and attention to detail, but they are also meticulously engineered.
Lexus is proud to be the exclusive vehicle partner of the 2023 Decorex Joburg – South Africa’s premier, contemporary and award-winning design show. The event will showcase the very best of local and international design in furniture, hospitality as well as many other creative elements.
Decorex Joburg is open to the public (both trade and consumers) and tickets are sold through their official website. The event will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre from Thursday, 3 August until Sunday, 6 August.
As the exclusive vehicle partner of Decorex Joburg, Lexus will be offering VIP-chauffeur drives to guests attending the event. Lexus will also have a brand exhibit displaying true craftsmanship. At the Lexus exhibit, show goers can view and learn more about the Lexus interior craftsmanship.
Lexus South Africa states: “To truly appreciate the intricacy and dedicated effort that goes into Lexus luxury interiors, we will showcase the incredible art of stitching to illustrate obsession with precision. True to the brand’s Japanese roots, Lexus will demonstrate ‘Sashiko’ – an ancient Japanese method of stitching, using only the running stitch originally to reinforce or repair points of heavy wear. Beyond function this single stitch method with strong twisted thread has evolved to create magnificent patterns in the imagination of the sewer”.
At Decorex Joburg, visitors will soak up the finest African designs at the Sandton Convention Centre, while enjoying the city’s culture and culinary experiences nearby.
