GQEBERHA – In the true spirit of giving this festive season, ISUZU Motors South Africa has once again partnered with the non-profit organisation, Love Story by filling and delivering 500 buckets of Christmas blessings. Each bucket has been filled to the brim with essential grocery items to spread some cheer and reach residents in the most impoverished areas in Gqeberha, so that they too are able to enjoy a special meal with their families this festive season.
The initiative was started in 2016 and not only provides assistance to community members, at a time when it’s needed but spreads some festive spirit and cheer among community members reminding them that they are not forgotten.
Mongezi Hermans, Senior Vice President Human Capital and Corporate Affairs at ISUZU says, “ISUZU is proud to be a part of an initiative that resonates with our own ethos of giving back to the communities in which we operate. We know the calamitous environment that our communities of the Nelson Mandela Metro find themselves in. We wanted to ensure that those less fortunate had some cheer and so we contributed to filling the buckets and giving them with love.”
As a key contributor to the sustainable upliftment, development and social benefit of communities in Gqeberha, ISUZU continues to be actively involved in addressing and providing solutions to the numerous challenges plaguing many of the local communities.
Mandlakazi Sigcawu, Department Executive Corporate and Public Affairs says, “Our intention is that each bucket brings blessings and hope to each family, especially during the festive season when families are together. It’s important to never underestimate the power of giving. One small gesture can change a person’s life and make a heartfelt impact to some of the homes that we are able to reach through this partnership.”
On behalf of ISUZU, we would like wish everyone a safe and happy festive season.
