This past Monday, The Miss Universe Organisation revealed the new crown. The crown is going to be presented at the 71st edition of the pageant in 2023. The 71st pageant will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana by January 2023.
According to the organization, the blue sapphire in the middle of the crown represents “the need for any call of change”. The wavey base of the crown represents a serpent’s head and is symbolic of the challenges which lie ahead in making decisions.
The Force for Good crown currently comprises 110 carats of blue sapphires and 48 white diamonds around the crown. A family-owned company named Mouawad specializes in making luxury watches, jewelry, and objects of art.
Now, the centerpiece is a 45.14-carat blue sapphire. This represents the change that can happen over a period of time and with consistent effort.
