On Sunday, 2 January, Specsavers joined the fun and took a jab at Politics For All and Twitter.
The glasses brand changed its name to “Glassed For All” and tweeted “Please don’t suspend us Twitter” – a reference to the news account that disappeared from the internet.
Please don’t suspend us Twitter

Twitter went on a suspending spree
This subtle jab from Specsavers came after viral news aggregator “Politics For All and its associated accounts “News For All and “Football For All” were suspended by Twitter over New Year’s weekend.
According to an insider who is involved in the Politics For All accounts, Twitter has not yet informed them of the reasons why their accounts have been suspended. However, they are appealing the decision.
The insider added that they are “unsure whether the freeze will be temporary or permanent”.
Specsavers took the moment and seized it
Even though the Politics For All’s suspension is definitely not sitting right with everyone, Specsavers clearly found it amusing and saw an opportunity.
And it seemed that many of their followers agreed with the humour as the tweet now has 26.7 thousand likes and over 2 000 retweets.
Many of their followers responded:
Tweet of the year…..love it… 😂😂 https://t.co/0DFbaCAQud
