Koko, which is the name Twitter users have dubbed Matshela Koko, is now wishing that he and Brian Molefe were still under control at Eskom.
Power cuts frustrate South African’s
Thus far, Eskom has announced that there will be stage 6 load-shedding starting from 4 pm onwards on Tuesday. Naturally, South Africans are fuming at the news and are now criticizing Andre Reyter for the recent sparks in load-shedding.
For the past few weeks, Eskom has implemented Stage 2 and Stage 3 load-shedding. Until today in which we see the stage being pushed to Stage 6. According to Twitter users, this would not have happened if Matshela Koko was still working at Eskom.
What’s more, many South Africans feel that Matshela Koko and Brian Molefe would have gotten extreme heat if they were the ones to implement Stage 6 load-shedding.
Twitter begins debate about Koko and Molefe
One user wrote, “South African citizens, let’s fight the government to bring back Koko and Molefe. They are our last hope, remember in 2018, 2018, and 2019 there was no load-shedding.
Another wrote, “The solution to Eskom’s problems is Koko and Molefe.”
Thus far, South Africa will be placed under Stage 6 load-shedding due to ‘unlawful industrial action’ as shared by Eskom earlier today. From 10 pm onwards the nation will be put back on to Stage 4 until midnight.
Thus far, in the few years, Koko and Molefe ran Eskom, there have never been powercuts as shared by some Twitter users. Today, we see an increase in power cuts which are a complete inconvenience to South Africans.
Right now, there is no word on whether this will be improved or not. Rest assured, South Africans are tired.
