Jonah Hill recently opened up about his new take on handling projects in the future. The actor shared that his ongoing anxiety struggles are among the reasons why he will not be promoting any films he is in.
Actor Jonah Hill talks about anxiety struggles
As reported by Variety, Jonah Hill is currently in the film called Stutz. The actor will appear in the comedy alongside Eddie Murphy in the Netflix film.
Recently, Jonah Hill stated that he will no longer promote any films. As it negatively impacts his health and does not reflect the person he is. The actor further elaborated on how this has affected him.
“Through this journey of self-discovery within the film, I have come to the understanding that I have spent nearly 20 years experiencing anxiety attacks, which are exacerbated by media appearances and public-facing events,”
Thus far, the film called Stutz is directed by Jonah Hill with the actor also appearing in the film. To date, the title of the film is inspired by his therapist Phil Stutz. Who was recommended to him by Joaquin Phoenix back in 2017.

Right now, the actor revealed that he will be taking active steps to better his health. Particularly his anxiety and step away from promoting any films in the future.
“You won’t see me out there promoting this film, or any of my upcoming films, while I take this important step to protect myself. If I made myself sicker by going out there and promoting it, I wouldn’t be acting true to myself or to the film.”
Supporting his latest decision, Josh Gad applauded Jonah Hill for taking the necessary steps. While becoming better and managing his health again.
“As someone who has dealt with anxiety most of my life, I applaud and thank Jonah Hill for his candor and openness in discussing this difficult topic.”

To conclude his open letter, Jonah Hill shared that he usually cringes at statements or letters such as this. But decided to share his story nonetheless.
“I usually cringe at letters or statements like this, but I understand that I am of the privileged few who can afford to take time off. I won’t lose my job while working on my anxiety.
Presently, the actor hoped that opening up about his experience will allow “people to talk and act on this stuff”
