Facebook is one of the latest apps to get out of control after many users noticed that their pages were bombarded with random posts of people posting on the pages of celebrities.
Meta app Facebook goes bonkers
Thus far, Meta has faced more than one outage of their current apps such as Facebook and Instagram. Previously, Instagram kicked out for many users after they tried to sign into their respective accounts countless times.
Back then, Meta expressed that the app was going through an update. The further added that the update had most likely gone wrong, hence the outage.
Right now, Meta is claiming that Facebook was undergoing an update of the algorithm of its app as well. Following the app’s strange feeds over the last few hours.
While many thought that the app was only acting out for them, some took to Twitter to figure out exactly what was going on with the app’s latest issues. To date, social media users believed that their pages were hacked following the random posts discovered on their pages.
Twitter users give their take on the matter
Unfortunately, many Facebook users took the opportunity to spam many celebrities’ accounts and shared a large number of random messages on their respective accounts.
Some of the celebrities include Paul Pogba, Christiano Ronaldo, and Taylor Swift to name a few. So far, many took to social media to figure out what the cause of the random posts could be and gave a variety of theories.
One user wrote, “Facebook hacked or something? My timeline is filled with people posting on celebrity walls.”. Currently, Facebook has resolved the issue and the app is expected to run as per normal again.
