On 22 April 2022 millions of people across the globe are celebrating the 52nd World Earth Day. A day to show our support for the protection of the planet.
Take action for Earth Day 2022
We have all heard words like “climate change”, “pollution” and “nature conservation”, but do we fully understand the causes of the everyday challenges that our planet faces? Humanity needs to better consider the ripple effect of its actions. So sure, you might not litter, but where does the plastic you use go? Think about it.
For 2022 we each need to reflect on how our day to day actions are affecting the planet. For example, consider how you could minimise consumption of disposable items, such as coffee cups, nappies or even masks.
Becoming aware is one big step, the next great act is to actually implement changes. Avoid allowing the hard work of achieving mindfulness to become worthless, rather be sure to make use of your newfound views and better the world around you.
Moreover, don’t for a second underestimate your own power. As an individual, you can make more of a difference than you realise.
Each one of us needs to:
- Act boldly,
- Innovate broadly, and
- Implement equitably
“It’s going to take all of us. All in. Businesses, governments, and citizens — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable.
A partnership for the planet.”

The Importance of our Planet
Simply put, humanity could not exist without Earth. It gives us a place to live, while also feeding our bodies and souls. From the water that flows over and under the ground, to the atmosphere it creates allowing us to breathe, and the plants and animals that are given life by the earth. It is our home and we should nurture it in the same way that it nurtures us.
