Christina Ricci was just thirteen years old when she took part in the Casper the friendly ghost film. But, the actress revealed that she hates the way she acted in the film many have grown to love.

To date, Christina Ricci watched the film back from an adult perspective and revealed that she thinks she was horrible in it. The actress shared that “If you actually watch Casper, I’m horrible in it,”
She further added that “People get so upset when I say that.” While many viewers of the film would like to disagree, Christina Ricci expressed that she was always very annoyed as a child.
“There was a lot going on. I was 13. Everything was very difficult and I was just always annoyed.”
To set things straight, Christine Ricci shared that the movie is wonderful. However, she just doesn’t think that she did a good job at the time. Adding that she did not give her best.
“I’m like, ‘No, it’s a wonderful movie, it’s a childhood treasure for people. Embarrassingly… I don’t think I tried as hard as maybe I should have,”
Netflix spinoff Wednesday
While talking about watching the film again, Christina Ricci noted that she didn’t seem very convincing in her reading of the script, further emphasizing how bad she was in the role.
“I remember just thinking like, ‘Wow, that was not a good, no, not a believable line reading at all,'” she recalled. “No commitment. Not a lot of commitment.”
Thus far, Christina Ricci not only starred in the huge film Casper. Which mind you, amassed 100 million when the film was first released in 1995. She also played Wednesday Addams in the Addams family and the sequel, Addams Family Values.

As shared by Parade, Christina Ricci is expected to appear in the new Netflix spinoff Wednesday. However, it is not yet clear which role she will be taking on. The actress is currently Emmy nominated for her role in YellowJackets.
