Charlbi Dean, the South African who made her acting debut in Spud has suddenly died. The cause of her death is currently unknown.
South African actress Charlbi Dean dies in New York
Presently, Charlbi Dean is set to be seen in the new film Triangle of Sadness which is set to premiere at the New York film festival later this year. Current reports say that the actress sadly passed on in New York this past Monday.
To date, Charlbi Dean made her first stop to fame when she signed with a modeling agency when she was just 12 years old. The former model appeared in the South African editions of Elle and GQ.
According to The Guardian, Charlbi Dean is reported to have died from a sudden illness. The actress was 32 years old at the time of her passing. So far, the circumstances around her death are yet to be revealed.
Thus far, may have taken to social media to share their condolences with her family. Her fiance Luke Volker shared a tribute of his own and noted that he was “very proud” of her recent performance in the film Triangle of Sadness.

While Charlbi Dean is formerly known as a model, the actress previously appeared in roles in Black Lightning, Spud, and the sequel of Spud 2: The madness continues.
Currently, playwright Jeremy O’Harris shared his devastation at the actress’s passing.
“This is absolutely devastating. Charlbi Dean was such an exciting performer to me after seeing her in Triangle of Sadness. Her work had a vulnerability and intellect a lesser actor would have denied the character. A true talent and sending love to her family.”
So far, the current film Triangle of Sadness co-stars Charlbi Dean and Harris Dickinson as the model couple who goes onto a luxury yacht with the super-rich. But, things soon start to take a turn for the worst. The film is currently due in US and UK theatres this October.
