Anne Heche has been in a coma since she was rescued from her car last week Friday. Recently, her family shared that she is not expected to survive the car crash. As she has not come out of a coma.
Actress Anne Heche to be taken off life support
Thus far, police shared with CNN that they are still trying to confirm if Anne Heche was impaired at the time of the accident. The family shared that the actress suffered an ‘anoxic brain injury’ as a result of the car crash.
To confirm this, they need to do additional blood tests. This is to rule out any medication the actress was given at the hospital.
To date, The Guardian reports that Anne Heche was driving at a speed in her residential area when she collided with a home. The car then broke out in flames with the actress inside of it.
Family shares their gratitude for all the support
So far, the neighbor whose home had been driven through came out of the home with no injuries. However, the witness reported that she opened the back door to find Anne Heche saying she is not okay.
Since then, the actress had been on life support with the family sharing that she is not expected to survive the car crash. The family is now waiting to see if Anne’s organs are viable for donation.

Thus far, her family reveals that it had “long been her choice” to donate her organs. The family also shared their gratitude for all the support they’ve received from everyone.
“We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital,”
As of late, previous reports share that the fire took at least an hour to be put out. It is of the understanding that Anne Heche could only be taken out of the car after the fire was controlled.
