With minimal effort this straightforward and quick-to-make banana bread recipe produces a soft moist texture full of that yummy sweet banana flavour. Leaving you wondering what the catch is.
Banana Bread made the Traditional Way
Banana bread is one of those amazing baked delights that has everyone coming back for more. Even those that are normally not fond of banana will be in the queue for a slice of this yumminess. And with a recipe as effortless as this one, why not keep the hungry mouths happy?
All you have to do is blend your butter, sugar and ripe bananas (resist the urge to “taste” large amounts of this sugary buttery banana yumminess) and mix in your dry ingredients and milk. Separate your batter into baking pans and pop them in the oven. Now, you just have to wait while the house fills with amazing aromas before you can melt into your first slice of warm, moist banana bread.
Ripe Bananas, an Important Ingredient
The ripeness of the bananas is quite an important factor, trust me. Once, I could simply not wait for a warm slice of butter-coated yumminess and all I had were relatively hard bananas. I still managed to make a pretty yummy bread, but its flavour had nothing on those made using well-rippened bananas.
However, if it is just one of those days and you have to treat yourself to some Nutella-covered banana bread, a great trick to making your bananas ripen fast is to pop them in the oven in their skins, on very hot, until the skins go black. Then once they are cool you can peel your now mushy bananas.
