Netflix releases new titles almost every day of every month but this December, there is more content to keep you entertained.
The festive season is a time when families and friends come together and part of the festivities is to watch a good film or a show which encompasses the Christmas spirit. Sometimes a good action flick will suffice too. This month there is a little bit of both. Here are some of the top picks.
Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Mystery
This particular film may not tickle your fancy but I promise it is not what it seems. The comedy film may have a little dark humor in it but it is, all in all, meant for laughs.
The official synopsis read, “Senior Detective Terry Seattle (Will Arnett) is back and this time, the case is critical. Along with his two celebrity guest stars, Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph, he is on a mission to figure out…who killed Santa? But here’s the catch: Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph aren’t being given the script. They have no idea what’s about to happen to them. Together, with Terry Seattle (and many surprises), they will have to improvise their way through the case… but it will be up to both of them to name the killer.”
Some of the actors included in the film are Maya Rudolph, Jason Bateman, and Will Arnett to name a few. The film will available to stream on the 15th of December.
Emily in Paris
Returning for a third season, Emily in Paris will be showcasing some of the best outfits of the year. The main star previously found herself to be under discussion on some of the best pieces she has worn before which means this season won’t be any different.
However, Emily does have some tough decisions to make this time around when it comes to both work and romance. As she dabbles between two possible suitors.
The synopsis of the third season reads, “One year after moving from Chicago to Paris for her dream job, Emily finds herself at a crucial crossroads in every aspect of her life. Faced with two very different paths, Emily will have to decide exactly where her loyalties lie — at work and in her romantic life — and what those decisions mean for her future in France, all while continuing to immerse herself in the adventures and surprising twists and turns that life in Paris provides.”
Emily in Paris will be on Netflix the 21st of December.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Murder Mystery
Academy Award Winner Rian Johnson returns with a follow-up to the previous film titled Knives Out. In the sequel, Detective Benoit Blanc takes a trip to Greece and winds up with a disparate group of friends who have been invited for a yearly reunion by a billionaire.
When a murder suddenly comes around, each character who comes with their own lies and secrets is a suspect in the murder of an individual. The cast of the film includes returning actors, John Craig, Dave Bautista, Kate Hudson, and Janelle Monae to name a few. The film will stream on Netflix on the 23rd of December.
A Storm for Christmas
In this mystery series, a crowd of individuals finds themselves waiting at the airport to find their loved ones for the holiday season. However, things take a turn when they’re stuck at the airport with less than 24 hours before Christmas!
The series will be released on the 16th of December.
The Recruit
The Recruit follows an ambitious CIA Lawyer hoping to make a mark at the CIA. However, he stumbles across a hurdle after a former asset threatens to expose the agency unless they exonerate her from a serious crime.
The eight-episode series will be released on the 16th of December.
Remember, in order to see another season of a series you love, make sure you finish every episode. Happy watching!
