Lisa Loring died alongside her two daughters according to a statement shared with BBC News.
Actress dies from a stroke
The actress formally known as Lisa Ann DeCinces started using the stage name Lisa Loring at age three when she started her modeling career. Recent reports share that the actress died after three days of being on life support.
In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter, her daughter Vannessa Foumberg shared that her mother died as a result of a stroke caused by high blood pressure.
She said, “She went peacefully with both her daughters holding her hands,”
In the 1960s, Lisa Loring played the role of Wednesday Addams. That was later played by actress Christina Ricci and more recently actress Jenna Ortega.
The career of Lisa Loring
The spinoff Wednesday is currently the most streamed series of all time. It breaks records of series such as Squid Game and the Dauffer Brother’s Stranger Things.
During an appearance on Jimmy Fallon, actress Jenna Ortega revealed that she paid tribute to Lisa Loring on Wednesday by “doing a little bit of a shuffle that she does”.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Jenna Ortega expressed her feelings about the death of Loring. The post which comprised a black-and-white photo of the actress as a child read:
“Absolutely devastated. Thank you for everything.”
While Lisa Loring is best known for her role as Wednesday Addams, she also played roles in shows such as The Pruitts of Southhampton and As the World Turns.
The actress is one of the many actors and actresses that has passed on. Actor John Astin, who played Gomez is now the last remaining cast member from the 1960s film, The Addams Family.
Of her life’s work, her friend Laurie Jacobson said,
“She is embedded in the tapestry that is pop culture and in our hearts always as Wednesday Addams,”
