Drake isn’t letting the tabloids control his life. He’s sharing his story on his own terms.
Rapper Drake shares a video of being arrested in Sweden
In July, rapper Drake was arrested while clubbing in Sweden. Sources with knowledge of the matter did not share why the rapper was arrested at the time.
At the time, the rapper’s team denied claims that Drake had been arrested in Sweden. However, in a clip posted to his Instagram Stories this weekend, the rapper seemed to confirm these rumors.
In the eight-second clip, Drake is seen in handcuffs and escorted by a group of Sweden authorities. The clip also shows the rapper’s entourage following him and the officers. In the background, someone is heard saying “Who’s in charge here?”.
Captioning the pictures and the videos, the rapper wrote, ‘The funds are useful/ The lyrics are truthful/ The suspects are usual/ The opps are delusional/ The finish line is beautiful /And the disrespect is mutual/ See you in 23.’
Controversial year for the Hip Hop artist
While the rapper didn’t share why he was arrested, he did share documents that confirmed his arrest by Swedish authorities. A document shared to his Instagram was titled, ‘Information for those suspected of a crime and subsequently detained’.
However, the posts shared this weekend has since been deleted. Representatives for Drake have not responded to comment on the post shared by the rapper.
Earlier in 2022, Drake was reported to be arrested for the possession of cannabis. Even though the rapper was arrested twice in 2022, nothing came of the arrests as his team told the public that the rapper was in his hotel and not at a police station.
These arrest rumors aren’t the first time Drake has landed in hot water in 2022. Teasing the release of his album, the rapper posted a fake Vogue Magazine cover of himself and 21 Savage on it. In response, Vogue sued the rappers for falsely promoting their album with a fake Vogue Magazine cover.
If the magazine goes forth with the lawsuit, Drake can see himself paying millions for his fake post. Updates on this lawsuit is yet to be revealed.
