Sello Maake Na-Ncube is taking on a new role and the actor is more than excited to be joining Skeem Saam.
Sello Maake Na-Ncube will be making his debut in the tv soap by the 11th of October. Right now, the actor is currently filming his part for the local soapie.
Previous Roles
To date, Sello Maake Na-Ncube has played many roles and has come to be a fan favorite of many South Africans. The actor played the likes of Othello, a play by William Shakespeare, a role in Scandal, and more recent roles in Blood Psalms, and the Netflix series Blood and Water.
Now, the actor will be roaming the streets of Turfloop in his new role as Ntate Kganyago. Right now, there aren’t many details about his character. As it is too early to share any bloopers for the soapie.
Sello Maake Na-Ncube started his acting career when he was just 16 years old. As of late, the actor is still acting at the age of 63 and recently shared his gratitude for still having work in an industry where opportunities can sometimes be scarce.
“I once read a book that had a line that said ‘work is love made visible’ and I am grateful to be able to do what I love. It is clear to me that everything that is happening in my career is a manifestation of that love. I got into acting when I was 16 and now I’m 63, so I am grateful for it all.”

In an exclusive interview with Drum Magazine, Sello Maake Na-Ncube revealed his excitement about playing the role on Skeem Saam. The actor noted that new roles are “always exciting”.
“Every character is different on each show. You are venturing into exploring different circumstances of a different persona that you take on. It is a depiction a different human condition from the one you played in the previous show and that is always exciting. And I am happy to be still getting work,”
