Not only did Rebel Wilson just wrap up a new Netflix film, Senior Year, but she also released her first children’s book, Bella the Brave. And as if that wasn’t enough, the beloved comedic actress was also named as one of BBC’s 100 Women of 2021.
Rebel Wilson aiming to inspire others
BBC recognizes women who are helping “reinvent our society, our culture and our world”.
And while speaking with the BBC, she reflected back to moments that pushed her to become an actor and follow the Hollywood dream. She also elaborated on what she’s planning for her bright future.
“[I] really wanted to get to the point where I had the power to make the movies and choose the storylines and choose the characters and choose who I put in the movies,” she said. ”[I’ve] been offered a directing job for a movie script that I’ve written called Girl Group that’ll go into production in 2022. I’m so passionate about the stories I want to tell, so why not go for the top job.”
Fashion conquers all
But of course, one of the biggest moments according to Rebel’s fanbase, was when she stepped out in a long-sleeve Balmain dress.
The Pitch Perfect star looked stunning as she rocked a black embroidered dress, featuring stunning mixed-metal detailing. This perfect fashion moment was for the Australian Academy Awards earlier in December.
After posting a picture of herself a few days after the event, posing by a big window, fans couldn’t get enough.
Rebel’s fans immediately flooded the comment section with nothing but compliments.
“Looking 🔥 again Rebel. Slay queen 🙌,” one person wrote.
“❤️ You look smashing Rebel!!! 😍 Just gorgeous!!!! ❤️,” another added.
“Whew! You are wearing that dress girl 🔥🔥🔥🔥,” a different fan said.
“Simply beautiful inside and out 🔥❤️,” a follower commented.
