Reelz, a digital cable and satellite TV network in the US, has announced that their latest series, Frontman, will premiere on December 4 2021. The four-episode special will “explore the lives and times” of lead singers Ozzy Osbourne, Bruce Dickinson, Steven Tyler and David Lee Roth.
As frontman and lead vocalists for bands with such great influence on the hard rock genre, “the superstars spotlighted in Frontman have been the voices of their generations“. And over the years, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith and Van Halen have performed and entertained millions of people over.
The series will give insight into the lives of the world’s favourite frontman
The new Frontman special episodes will give viewers an insight into defining moments in these lead singers’ careers. From what sparked their need for performing to the destructive and addictive tendencies they picked up while making history.
“Revealing character profiles of music megastars have resonated with our viewers so we’re excited to show them more new original stories in Frontman,” said Steve Cheskin, SVP of programming at Reelz. “Illuminated by intimate details from first-hand accounts of experiences shared by friends and colleagues we look forward to delving into the lives of these fabled rockers.”
Ozzy Osbourne under the spotlight
The series’ debut episode is set for the 4th of December with Ozzy Osbourne: Black Sabbath Frontman.

Shift the focus to Iron Maiden
The second episode of the special will air only one day after the first on December 5. And this time we will follow Bruce Dickinson: Iron Maiden Frontman and see what drove his “unquenchable desire to overachieve throughout his life.”
