Nambitha Ben-Mazwi previously took the risk of leaving her job as a business scientist and it seems the risk was worthwhile.
Actress Nambitha Ben-Mazwi wins the Actress of the Year Award
Earlier this year, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi shared that she has been nominated for the Actress of the Year Award at the VN Global Media and Entertainment Awards. The actress took to her Instagram to pen her gratitude for the nomination.
“I am really excited about this nomination. They emailed me and I was able to either accept or decline the nomination. It really means a lot to me because any nod is a confirmation that you are on the right track. It feels like a nudge from God. Everyone likes to be seen and I am grateful for the acknowledgment.”
However, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi has recently claimed this title as she recently won the award for Actress of the Year! Nambitha couldn’t be at the award ceremony in person but she did manage to share a video acknowledging the recognition.
Career accolades
Of the achievement, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi expressed her gratitude to the audience and to all of those who “held [her] down” in her career journey.
She wrote, “Thank you to every single person who has held me down, but most importantly, thank you to you the audience. Your votes, your support, every smile, every word of affirmation, every DM, every tweet. You guys are the reason I do what I do to change the lives and to reach you.”
While this is a big achievement, this is not all Nambitha Ben-Mazwi has reached this year. The actress best known for her role in Scandal also became the first South African actress to be a part of six Netflix films this year.
The actress has so far starred in Savage Beauty, How to Ruin Christmas, Black Mirror, The Wedding, and Black Diamond. More recently, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi joined the Showtime series King Shaka.
Nambitha has also received a fashion style icon award from the SA Style Awards.
