Henry Cavil hangs up his sword
After three successful seasons of The Witcher, Henry Cavil has announced that he will be departing from the series. Taking to Instagram, The Witcher alum shared that Liam Hemsworth will be taking over the role.
“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for season 4,” Cavill said in a statement released on his Instagram account. In my stead, the fantastic Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf.”
Presently, the announcement comes just weeks after it was revealed that Henry Cavil will be reprising his role as Superman. In a new film sometime next year. The exact release date of the film has not been shared yet.

Thus far, an Instagram post by Liam Hemsworth, the actor noted his excitement for taking up the role of Henry Cavil.
“Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honored that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure. Henry, I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you brought to this beloved character. I may have some big boots to fill, but I’m truly excited to be stepping into The Witcher world.”
Thus far, The Witcher is based on a series of books written by Andrzej Sapkowski. The series currently followers a hunter who is on a mission to kill different creatures after he forms a connection with a sorcerer.
Presently, Henry Cavil will also appear in the new Enola Holmes film. The actor will star as Sherlock Holmes in the second installment of the film.
