The Blood & Water star recently launched the jewellery line in collaboration with Grace The Brand. The 21-year-old said that this was a lifelong dream and she was happy to finally see it come to life.
According to Khosi, her father, actor Mangaliso Ngema, motivated her to pursue other opportunities outside of the entertainment industry.
“I also get [my entrepreneurial spirit] from my dad. He’s always encouraged me to be entrepreneurial and I just want to explore different fields if I can. I’m blessed that I am able to dabble in something like this. It’s definitely new ground for me and it’s definitely something I want to pursue and see how it goes.”
Khosi combines her love for music with jewellery
While Khosi was not involved in the actual designing of the jewellery pieces, she selected and named each one herself. And her inspiration for each piece was some of her favourite musicians.
“I’m a musician and everyone is yet to hear my music – but they will – I just thought it was cute to share that side of me because music is a really big part of my life,” she said.
Khosi’s collection includes the following pieces:
- Eartha – necklace named after Eartha Kitt
- Billie – bracelet named after Billie Holiday
- Simone – ring named after Nina Simone
- Cybil – ring named after her late grandmother Patience Africa
