Jerry Lee Lewis is still alive and well despite reports that the rock and roll star has passed on.

While Jerry Lee Lewis has been struggling with the flu in recent days, a representative for the icon has since debunked this information.
“He’s alive. TMZ reported erroneously off of a bulls–t anonymous tip,”
Presently, TMZ shared that they were tipped by a source who allegedly claimed that they were the representative of Jerry Lee Lewis. The publication has since rectified its error with an updated news article.
“Earlier today we were told by someone claiming to be Lewis’ rep that he had passed,” TMZ said in revising its article. “That turned out not to be the case. TMZ regrets the error.”
Previously, Jerry Lee Lewis has been inducted into to country music wall of fame. However, the rock star couldn’t make it to the ceremony due to feeling ill. The musician took to social media to pen a message to his fans.

“It is with heartfelt sadness and disappointment that I write to you today from my sick bed, rather than be able to share my thoughts in person. I tried everything I could to build up the strength to come today – I’ve looked so forward to it since I found out about it earlier this year. However, in May, Lewis participated in an event. In which the nominees for the Country Music Wall of Fame nominees were announced. The star managed to take to trip from Memphis to Nashville at the time to take pictures with his fans.
While Jerry couldn’t make it to accept the honor himself, his wife went to accept the honor in his place. The star was also given his award by his friend Kristoff while on his sickbed.
The singer was pictured to be very frail during the interaction which sparked rumors of the rock star being terminally ill.
