Cara Delevingne (25) has been signed to a major UK modelling agency since she was just 17. And since then, she has extended her career into actor, musician, designer and even author. So between her busy schedule, she had to find the best skin routine to keep her glowing and healthy.
And when asked what her own idea of beauty is, Cara answers without wondering, “Happiness, confidence, individuality”. She adds that she feels most beautiful “when I’m surrounded by the people I love”.
What is the model’s daily beauty routine?
According to Cara, her daily routine depends on what kind of workday she had ahead. But one of the most important steps in her routine is definitely cleansing and moisturising.
“If I’m on set, then [it’s] usually focused on cleansing and moisturising, as I have to wear a lot of make-up.”
Cara adds that one of her main concerns when it comes to her skin is keeping it hydrated, especially since she is on planes quite often. So moisturiser and water are her best friends.
And of course, she has a whole team who takes care of her if she is doing full press but enjoys the minimalistic approach when she has days off.
“If I’m on a press tour, most of my beauty regimen is taken care of by my wonderful glam team, as we work from morning to evening. On [my] days off, [it] is very minimal, but still important.”
Cara Delevigne is the new face of Dior Beauty
Cara has recently been announced as Dior’s latest muse for their new Capture Youth line, and the model said it was “unexpected and a wonderful surprise”.
“Growing up, I was definitely a tomboy, so I was never really into beauty and fashion, but I have always been aware and in love with Dior. I am so honoured that [when] they thought about my generation who want to look after their skin that they thought of me.”
It’s easy to see why Dior chose Cara as their ambassador since she is so open and real. And when asked if she has any skincare advice for young women, she gave the perfect answer.
“I believe that beauty comes from within, so I would advise young women to take care of their mind and their heart as much as they take care of their face and skin.”
