AKA and Nadia Nakai have reportedly broken up after their weekend ended abruptly after heated arguments between the two rappers turned violent.
But Mzansi is left a bit confused as some clues show that the incident happen. But on the other side, both the rappers have acknowledged the situation and denied it all.
AKA “broke down” after the alleged attacks
During Easter Weekend, Nakai performed in Ghana together with Moonchild Sanelly and then enjoyed themselves at the after-party.
However, according to the Daily Sun, a “well-placed” source revealed that things went south at the party when AKA and Nakai started arguing and he publicly assaulted her.
“He allegedly assaulted her at the venue in full view of people.”
The source further stated that the violence continued when the couple went back to their hotel where he assaulted Nakai again, as well as another person.
“He allegedly did it again at the hotel and everything got heated.
” When he arrived at the hotel, he went into a room where she was chilling with other people and allegedly attacked the promoter who had booked them.
“He allegedly punched him several times and then went back to Nadia.”
It seemed that the situation allegedly got to a point where AKA had to be restrained.
“He had to be restrained and once calm, he broke down and cried.”
The couple unfollowed each other
After rumours of the assault started, the public realised that both AKA and Nakai unfollowed each other on social media.
AKA also took to his Instagram story and posted “I will never let another woman degrade me ever again”.
Nadia Nakai denies the assaults
Despite returning to South Africa alone and earlier as planned, Nakai still denied the entire story.
According to the rapper, it was a mild argument.
“It never happened. I was not assaulted in any way. We just got into an argument and that is all.”
Nadia Nakai commented to the DailySun.
“No drama” between AKA and Nadia
After Nakai’s comments, she and AKA decided to release a joint statement, denying any “physical” and “verbal” altercations.
According to the rappers, both of them had work obligations in Ghana and their trip was great. They further stated that what actually happened was turning into a “public smear campaign”.
“What we took to be light interactions with industry peers has been twisted by outsiders.”
“There was no physical nor verbal alteracation. We are fine and there’s no drama between us. We’re basking in our successes.”
