On Wednesday, superstar Miley Cyrus was on her way to Asunción, Paraguay, when her plane got caught in a “major unexpected storm”. She is currently touring across South America on the “Attention” tour but seems like Mother Nature had other plans.

The singer took to Twitter to reassure everyone that she and everyone who was travelling with her, was safe.
She then posted a short clip of the moment the plane got struck by lightning and audible gasps are heard from a few passengers. And fans even got shocking proof of where the lightning hit the plane.

But thankfully, everyone onboard was okay in the end. And shortly after the incident Miley’s older sister Brandi, also posted an Instagram Story as she tipped back a glass, celebrating being alive.
“I’m going to try to not be dramatic but we almost died,’ she says, before adding: ‘Bottom’s up!”
Miley and her entourage were travelling from Bogota, Colombia when they had to make the emergency landing. And her performance at the festival that she was scheduled to play at had to be cancelled.
