Charlbi Dean was previously revealed to have died of a sudden illness at a New York hospital five months ago.

In a new statement that has been shared by a medical examiner, Charlbi Dean died of bacteria sepsis. According to the examiner, bacterial sepsis. This infection is typically caused by animals through scratches and their mouths.
However, medical specialists have not confirmed whether an animal was the cause of this infection to arise. Charlbi Dean reportedly also had health complications such as Asplenia, which refers to the absence of a spleen.
Her brother, Alex Jones previously shared that Charlbi had her spleen removed in 2009. With Asplenia, the risks of infection are extremely high as the spleen isn’t doing its job to protect the immune system.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Jones explained what happened in the hours right before Charlbi Dean passed away.
He shared, “This happened literally within the span of a day: getting a headache, going to sleep, waking up her boyfriend, and saying, please take me to the hospital.”

In many cases, complications as a result of Asplenia have been shown to be fatal within a few hours of being infected.
According to the statement by the examiner, Charlbi’s Asplenia was caused by “blunt trauma to her torso” and that an infection caused her death at the time. However, her death was ruled as an accident.
Before her passing, Charlbi Dean starred in the film Triangle of Sadness. The film won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. It is currently the highest award at the film festival.
In the early stages of her career, Dean worked as a model before transitioning to acting. Her first film role was Spud alongside singer Troy Sivan.
