On Monday morning, well-known actor Tom Cruise was spotted in a helicopter as he landed at Ladysmith Airfield, KwaZulu-Natal.
Cruise is currently in South Africa as part of filming for the latest instalment of the Mission Impossible films. And after spending a short amount of time in Ladysmith, the actor and his film crew then took off to the central Drakensberg where they will continue filming.
Cruise kept his mask on as he was speaking with the helicopter pilots and crew members. He also greeted a few of the Ladysmith locals as they naturally gathered at the airfield.
Locals reported that he was very friendly as he waved and greeted everyone before getting back in the helicopter.
“It was such a pleasant way to start a Monday morning, to think he stopped in Ladysmith,” one of the locals said as she managed to spot the actor from afar.
Thus far there are already six Mission Impossible films with Tom Cruise starring as the main hero. And two more are scheduled for release.
Mission: Impossible 7 is scheduled to be released in 2023, with the eighth movie scheduled for 2024.
