Jeff Beck was first fascinated by the guitar as a child. Following his passion, he became a part of the rock band The Yardbirds.

In a statement shared on his official Twitter account, it was revealed that Jeff Beck had died suddenly this past Tuesday. His family representative shared that the guitarist died after contracting bacterial meningitis.
“On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing. After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday. His family asks for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.”
During his career, Jeff Beck was known to break boundaries. That is, in order to create unique sounds. After being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Beck shared just how many rules he would need to break in order to be happy with his work.
He said, “I play the way I do because it allows me to come up with the sickest sounds possible…In fact, if I don’t break the rules at least 10 times in every song, then I’m not doing my job properly.”

The career of Jeff Beck
Since entering the music industry, Jeff Back rose to fame with the rock band The Yardbirds. Beck joined the group after Eric Clapton made his departure from the group. He would then become known for hits such as I’m a Man, and Shapes of Things.
Learning of his death, countless musicians took to Twitter to express their sadness about the late legend’s death.
After obtaining great success with The Yardbirds, Jeff formed his own band called The Jeff Beck group with band member Rod Steward. Remembering his impact, he shared a short tribute to Jeff.
He wrote, “Jeff Beck was on another planet. He took me and Ronnie Wood to the USA in the late 60s in his band the Jeff Beck Group and we haven’t looked back since.”
