Blockbuster is truly a nostalgic piece of work and watching it probably brought back some old memories of going to rent your own film at your local video store. With all these feelings in mind, it is logical to wonder whether there will be a second season or not.
Has Netflix renewed Blockbuster?
Now, Blockbuster has left some questions unanswered about the relationship between Eliza and the store owner Timmy. Naturally, a second season should be able to follow suit.
So the current series deals with a video store owner struggling to keep his business afloat. With the growing interest in streaming movies. Blockbuster then follows Timmy relying on his employees to remind his customers what is special about renting movies at a video store.
While being the only Blockbuster in the US, this comes as a challenge for Timmy. However, it is more than business that ultimately bothers Timmy. As he soon finds that he has a growing crush on his long-time friend Eliza.
Given the explosive ending of Blockbuster season one, there is no way that a season two cannot be in the works. However, Netflix has not confirmed or canceled the show as of yet.
Generally, comedy sitcoms usually have a run of two seasons before it is officially canceled. But that is not to say that it will be of course.
Some factors Netflix takes into consideration are the viewing time of the series and whether watchers actually complete the series after watching it. If viewers aren’t likely to finish the series, the chances are strong for the series to be canceled.
Since Netflix hasn’t exactly renewed or canceled Blockbuster, viewers may need to wait for a time period such as one month or even three for the streaming service to make a decision about the series.
